LAURINBURG, NC - The Davis & Elkins softball team swept St. Andrews in a doubleheader on Wednesday, winning the first game 5-2 and prevailing in the second game 4-2.

Sophomore pitcher Alanna Jones went the distancein the first game to earn the win and finished with 10 strikeouts. 

Carissa Dunn, Bridget Ours, and Mallory Wishard had two hits each to lead the D&E offense.

The Senators won the nightcap 4-2 as freshman pitcher Autumn Appleby went five innings to earn the win.  Appleby recorded four strikeouts and Jones came on in relief to record the save.

Kaitlyn Daugherty and Mallory Wishard fueled the offense with a home run and two RBIs each.

Amanda Serafini and Daniella Vineyard were solid at the plate as they each finished with two hits.
